The SCC Workforce Development & Community Interest Divisions
Spartanburg Community College’s Workforce Development division provides flexible, short-term training designed to support career advancement, workforce readiness, and lifelong learning while also delivering customized solutions for business and industry. Programs are offered across a variety of high-demand areas, including Business & Professional Development, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Industrial, Manufacturing & Trades, Construction, and Community Interest.
Through a strong partnership with local employers, the division develops targeted training that addresses specific workforce needs-from incumbent worker upskilling to new hire development-helping organizations increase productivity, close skills gaps, and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving economy. Supporting this effort, the Director of Industry Partnerships serves Cherokee, Spartanburg, and Union counties, acting as a key liaison between the college and local employers to ensure alignment between training programs and regional workforce demands.
In addition, Community Interest offerings provide opportunities for personal enrichment and practical life skills that strengthen individuals’ connection to their community while supporting lifelong learning.

Our goal is to generate and expand upon resources of all different kinds, in the hope to build and strengthen meaningful partnerships and to advance the personal goals of our investors, our students, our employees, their futures, and beyond. Our donation relations are navigated on a case-to-case basis to ensure that our donors can make the most of what they have to offer.
