ACR 140 - Automatic Controls

Class: 2 Lab: 3 Credits: 3
This course is a study of the adjustment, repair and maintenance of a variety of pressure and temperature sensitive automatic controls.

Prerequisite(s): Take ACR 101, ACR 106 and ACR 118.

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Draw a wiring diagram for a basic air conditioner with either a line or low voltage control system.
Record electrical system data.
Convert a schematic diagram to a “ladder” diagram in a drawing.
Setup a residential heating and cooling thermostat for installation.
Assemble wiring circuits.
