ARV 217 - Computer Imagery


Class: 2 Lab: 3 Credits: 3
This course covers the use of the computer as a tool to create images that address the needs of the visual communication field using Adobe Photoshop.

Prerequisite(s): Take CGC 110  with a minimum grade of “C”.
Course Topics:
  • Tools and workspace of Adobe Photoshop
  • Image manipulation
  • Color correction
  • Raster
  • Use of Layers
  • Typography with Images
  • Montage
  • Filters

A 90 - 100

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Identify tools and applications in Adobe Photoshop software.
  2. Demonstrate basic photo corrections.
  3. Manipulate images using the selection tools.
  4. Demonstrate layer basics.
  5. Correct and enhance digital photos.
  6. Create a design using typography.
