HRT 121 - Commercial Irrigation Class: 2 Lab: 3 Credits: 3 This course examines the use of irrigation in the landscape industry with emphasis on design, equipment suitability, water application procedures, and construction. Design projects and job bidding are also included.
Prerequisite(s): Take RDG 032 with a minimum grade of “C”. Course Topics:
- Irrigation components, system configuration and trouble-shooting is discussed
- Irrigation design, bidding and customer relations are taught

F 0-59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Choose the component parts of a sprinkler irrigation system and low volume irrigation system.
- Design a sprinkler irrigation system for a residential, commercial or nursery site.
- Prepare a sprinkler irrigation system bid and presentation for a residential or commercial site.
- Explain and calculate an irrigation hydraulic process.
