IMT 112 - Hand Tool Operations

Class: 1 Lab: 6 Credits: 3
This course covers the use of hand tools and their applications in industrial and service areas.

Course Topics:

Proper hand and power tool usage
Tool safety
Layout and bench work
Measuring tools

Safety Glasses
Calculator-(TI-30xa preferred)

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

C 70 - 79

Student Learning Outcomes:

Demonstrate the safe and correct use of a torque wrench.
Demonstrate the safe and correct usage of a hacksaw.
Identify the correct safety personal protective equipment for various jobs.
Demonstrate the ability to perform layout work.
Demonstrate the correct usage of a drill press and other power tools.
