PSC 101 - United Nations I


Class: 1 Lab: 0 Credits: 1
This course is an introduction to the world of international negotiations and diplomacy by preparation for, and participation in, simulations of the united nations and other international organizations. The countries and issues to be studied will vary. 

Prerequisite(s): Take ENG 101  with a grade of “C” or better. 
Course Topics:
Students will study all issues pertaining to NATO and NATO member countries.

Required Materials:
Instructor will provide resources. 
Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

C 70-79
D 60-69
F 0-59


Student Learning Outcomes:
 

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of diplomatic debate and diplomacy.
  2. Analyze issues among NATO countries.
  3. Examine NATO’s strengths and weaknesses.
