EGT 151 - Introduction to CAD Class: 3 Credits: 3 This course covers the operation of a computer aided drafting system. The course includes interaction with a CAD station to produce technical drawings.
Prerequisite(s): Take MAT 101 . Corequisite(s): Take MAT 102 . Course Topics:
- The major components of CAD system
- DRAW function to produce a drawing
- EDIT commands to modify graphic input
- Format commands to setup a drawing
- LAYER functions to establish drawing control
- DISPLAY commands to view object
- PLOT function to make hardcopy of a drawing
Textbooks: Textbook information can be found on the Book Inn Web site Required Materials:
- 2 Portable Storage mediums (USB drives)
- ½ ” or 1” 3 Ring Binder
- Paper and Pen for Notes
Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.
