MAT 111 - College Trigonometry Class: 3 Credits: 3 This course includes the following topics: trigonometric functions; trigonometric identities; solution of right and oblique triangles; solution of trigonometric equations; polar coordinates; complex numbers, including DeMoivre’s Theorem; vectors; conic sections; and parametric equations. (Prerequisite: College Algebra)
Prerequisite(s): Take MAT 110 with a minimum grade of “C”. Course Topics:

- Texas Instruments TI-83 or TI-84 graphing calculator.
Any other device must be approved by the instructor of the course.
Grading System: A 90-100
B 80-89
C 70-79
D 60-69
F 0-59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Solve problems involving triangles by using trigonometric strategies.
- Graph trigonometric functions by using transformations.
- Verify identities by simplifying trigonometric expressions.
- Evaluate vectors by using operations, graphing, or polar geometry.
- Translate conic sections by manipulating the standard form of the equations.
