MED 116 - Medical Office Lab Procedures II Class: 3 Lab: 3 Credits: 4 This course includes the study of laboratory techniques commonly used in physicians’ offices and other facilities.

- Identify and demonstrate proficiency in immunological tests performed in the medical office.
- Identify and demonstrate proficiency in basic techniques used in microbiology.
- Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy technique.
- Identify and demonstrate proficiency in clinical chemistry tests performed in the medical office.
- Identify human fluids that may be used in chemical analysis.
- Identify the basic structures of the circulatory system.
- Recognize the reasons why collection and transportation of specimens are critical to testing microbial specimens.
