MTT 153 - Precision Machining III Class: 2 Lab: 3 Credits: 3 This course is an introduction to the operation of basic machine shop equipment with emphasis on lathes.

Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

F 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Explain safe and unsafe work practices in a machine shop.
- Identify the principles and types of cut-off metal saws and accessories.
- Identify the purpose of the main operative parts of the engine lathe.
- Perform entry level turning procedures.
