SPA 201 - Intermediate Spanish I


Class: 3 Credits: 3
This course is a review of Spanish grammar with attention given to more complex grammatical structures and reading difficult prose.

Prerequisite(s): Take SPA 102  with a minimum grade of “C”.
Course Topics:

  • Reading skills appropriate for non-native speakers of Spanish at the third semester level
  • Writing skills appropriate for non-native speakers of Spanish at the third semester level
  • Speaking skills appropriate for non-native speakers of Spanish at the third semester level
  • Listening skills appropriate for non-native speakers of Spanish at the third semester level
  • Cultural awareness of traditions/events/significant persons in the Hispanic/Latino community

Required Materials:

  • Spanish/English Dictionary recommended

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.
