SUR 105 - Surgical Procedures III

This course is a study of the various specialties of surgical procedures.

Prerequisite(s): SUR 103 SUR 104 , SUR 110 must be completed with a B or better.
Corequisite(s): SUR 114  and SUR 120

One folder with pockets.
Grading System:
Students must maintain a final overall average of “80”. An average of less than “80” will prevent students from continuing in the program. Additionally, the student must satisfactorily complete all required competencies in the lab.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon satisfactory completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Evaluate the principles of ophthalmic surgery.
  2. Assess the principles of otorhinolaryngologic surgery.
  3. Explain the principles of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
  4. Explain the principles of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
  5. Assess the principles of cardiothoracic surgery.
  6. Analyze the principles of peripheral vascular surgery.
