This course includes a study of disease and procedural coding and classification systems.

Prerequisite(s): Take AOT 141 and AHS 102 with a minimum grade of “C”.

Assigning diagnoses codes
Coding for Anesthesia
Coding guidelines for surgery
Coding for surgery
Use of CPT codes
Levels of evaluation and management services

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required in this class to be applied toward any Administrative Office Technology degree or certificate.

Utilize CPT codes to code a wide variety of patient services.
Differentiate between Evaluation and Management services.
