MTT 270 - Operation and Programming of Coordinate Measuring Machines

This course is a study of the operation, application and programming of coordinate measuring machines (CMM).

Prerequisite(s): Take EGT 108 , EGT 152 , MAT 155  and MTT 112 .

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

  1. Explain Cartesian Measurement.
  2. Explain and demonstrate Gaging and Inspection Techniques.
  3. Setup, operate and program the CMM.
  4. Produce report page comparing an inspected part’s measured dimensions to blueprint requirements.
  5. Use the controls and software for operating a CMM.
