WLD 142 - Maintenance Welding


Class: 1 Lab: 6 Credits: 3
This course covers gas and arc welding processes used in maintenance shops. 

Prerequisite(s): Take WLD 208 
Course Topics:
Learn to weld on different thicknesses and various types of metals as well as making repair welds.

Student Learning Outcomes:
1.    Demonstrate the ability to cut materials using oxy-fuel and plasma methods with efficient use of consumable gasses.
2.    Ability to weld 16 gauge and higher sheet metal.
3.    Knowing steps and processes to make repair welds on various materials.
4.    Ability to weld different types of ferrous and non-ferrous materials with various processes.
