EEM 117 - AC/DC Circuits I Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 6 Credits: 4
Description: This course is a study of direct and alternating theory, Ohm’s Law, series, parallel, and combination circuits. Circuits are constructed and tested.

- Resistors
- Magnetism
- Batteries
- Ohms Law
- Circuit Computations
Textbooks: Textbook information can be found on the Book Inn website Required Materials:
- CAMIT Basic Toolkit which includes tools, meter, safety glasses, calculator, etc. Will be used throughout various CAMIT classes.
Grading System: A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F = 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Use Ohm’s Law to calculate values in a circuit.
- Calculate, build, and measure values given series circuit diagram.
- Calculate, build, and measure values given parallel circuit diagram.
- Calculate, build, and measure values given series-parallel circuit diagram.
- Use Kirchhoff’s Laws to calculate values in a circuit.
