MTT 251 - CNC Operations

Description: This course is a study of CNC machine controls, setting tools, and machine limits, and capabilities.
Prerequisite(s): Take MTT 250 with a minimum grade of C.

- Machine Controls
- Selecting/Setting up Tooling
- Manual G-Code programming

- USB Drive
- Clear Safety Glasses
- 3-piece Machinist Starter Kit:
- 6” Rule
- 1” Micrometer
- 6” Dial Caliper
Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.
A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F = 0 - 59
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Understand and identify different types of machine controls.
- Identify proper tooling required to perform job tasks.
- Produce basic G-Code programs for CNC Mill.
- Produce basic G-Code programs for CNC Lathe.
