HUS 235 - Group Dynamics Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Description: This course is an examination of the theory and practice of group dynamics. Emphasis is on the application of the value and use of the group process in specialized settings related to human services.
Prerequisite(s): Take ENG 100 and RDG 100 with a minimum grade of C. Textbooks: Textbook information can be found on the Book Inn website Required Materials: Textbook Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F = 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Identify theories of group dynamics.
- Discuss the research involved in group dynamics.
- Describe group formation, development, and structure.
- Identify how power, leadership, performance, team structure, decision making, and conflict affect group dynamics, ethics, and legal considerations.
- Discuss how different groups interact and how they can influence each other.
- Identify how groups grow, and change based on power, leadership, performance, decision making, and conflict.
