DAT 105 - Dental Charting and Documentation

Description: This course is the study of dental charting and documentation as it relates to direct patient care in general dentistry. The course will include a clinical observation with an emphasis on documentation and clinical records.
Prerequisite(s): AHS 113 , DAT 113 , DAT 115 , DAT 118 , DAT 121 and DAT 154 .

Grading System:
An overall grade of B or higher is required for transferability.
A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F = 0 - 59

- Recognize various types of charts, tooth numbering and dental function system, symbols, and abbreviations.
- Describe and discuss forms included in patient record.
- Document clinical observation standards and manage patient treatment clinical records.
