Description: This course covers the equipment and procedures related to dental specialties used in clinical experiences.
Prerequisite(s): AHS 113 , DAT 113 , DAT 115 , DAT 118 , DAT 121 , and DAT 154 . Course Topics:
- All dental specialties
- The South Carolina Dental Practice Act
Textbooks: Textbook information can be found on the Book Inn website Required Materials: Modern Dental Assisting Text and Workbook and Dental Assisting: A Comprehensive Approach Grading System: An overall grade of B or higher is required for transferability.

- Identify the instruments and procedures and demonstrate procedures performed in Fixed Prosthodontics.

- Identify the properties of dental implant materials. Identify the instruments and procedures related to dental implants.
