Description: This course introduces students to the principles of cutting and welding, the identification of welding tools and equipment, and the process for setting up and repairing welding equipment. Safety procedures will be emphasized.

Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

F = 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate advanced cutting techniques with oxy-fuel and plasma torches to include precision cutting and beveling from a print.
- Diagnose issues with welding leads, electrode holders, TIG torch bodies to make adjustments, and repairs or replacement as necessary.
- Demonstrate how to repair or replace hoses used for inert gasses and oxy-fuel torches.
- Identify incorrect welds caused by improper machine set up and explain how to correct the machine to make proper welds.
- Utilize OSHA safety standards to ensure all repair work and problem solving follows industry regulations.
