ENG 165 - Professional Communications Class: 3 Credits: 3 This course develops practical written, and oral professional communication skills.
Prerequisite(s): Take ENG 032 and RDG 032 . Course Topics:

- Description of a Mechanism

- Access to a computer with Windows 2000 or newer
- Ability to format .doc, .rtf, or .html documents
- Internet access
Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.
A 90 - 100
B 80 - 89
C 70 - 79
D 60 - 69
F 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Consider audience and purpose in professional communication.
- Develop ideas in appropriate business and technical writing formats.
- Create a technical description of a mechanism.
- Plan and present professional oral presentations.
- Communicate instructions in oral and written formats.
