MKT 110 - Retailing Class: 3 Credits: 3 This course is a study of the importance of retailing in American business and covers the concepts of store location, layout, merchandising, display, pricing, inventory control, promotional programs and profit management.
Prerequisite(s): Take ENG 032 , MAT 032 or MAT 100 , and RDG 032 with minimum grade of “C”. Course Topics:
- The influence of retailing on the American economy
- Planning in retailing
- The retailing environment
- Location analysis
- Management of retail operations
- Retail administration
- New store proposals

- Computer with Internet access
- Word processing software (must be able to save Word format)

Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.
