MEC 110 - DC Circuits

Lecture Hours: 1 Clinical Hours: 6 Credits: 3

Description: This course is a study of direct current theory. Series, parallel, and series-parallel circuits are solved using Ohm’s law and critical thinking skills. In addition to solving, circuits are constructed and tested for proper operation using various measuring instruments.

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F = 0 - 59

Use Ohm’s Law to calculate values in a circuit.
Calculate, build, and measure values given series circuit diagram.
Calculate, build, and measure values given parallel circuit diagram.
Calculate, build, and measure values given series-parallel circuit diagram.
