ENG 102 - English Composition II


Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3

Description: This is a (college transfer) course in which the following topics are presented: development of writing skills through logical organization, effective style, critical reading and research.

Prerequisite(s): Take ENG 101  with a minimum grade of C.

  • Analysis of Literary Works
  • Thesis Statements
  • Primary Sources
  • Secondary Sources
  • Literary Research (MLA)
  • Document Design (MLA)
  • Standard English Usage

Textbooks:

Required Materials:
  • Access to a computer with Windows 2000 or newer
  • Capability of formatting documents in Word or RTF.
  • Internet access.

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

A =  90 - 100
B =   80 - 89
C =   70 - 79
D =   60 - 69
F =     0 - 59
