HUS 237 - Crisis Intervention


Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3

Description: This course is a study of the effects of crisis on people, the methods of intervention, and other use of multiple resources to reestablish individual function.  Students are required to demonstrate mock crisis activities.

Prerequisite(s): Take ENG 101  and HUS 101  with a minimum grade of C.

An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

  2. Differentiate between different types of crises and describe the various complications of each.
  3. Interpret the importance of legal guidelines and ethics.
  4. Recognize how crisis can affect the human services worker.
