BUS 101 - Introduction to Business


Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3

Description: This course is a study of the nature of business activity in relation to the economic society, including how a business is owned, organized, managed, and controlled. 

Prerequisite(s): Take MAT 100 , ENG 100 , and RDG 100  with a minimum grade of C.

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F =   0 - 59

  1. Identify and explain the core functions of business, including entrepreneurship, marketing, management, logistics, accounting, and human resources.
  2. Apply foundational business soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and professionalism, through applied activities and simulations.
