Program Description
Digital Art students acquire skills to become graphic and/or web designers. Emphasis is placed on design, printing processes, digital imagery, photography, vector illustration, color theory, and typography.
Practical Experience
Students use computers, industry-standard software applications, and a digital press to create graphics and page layouts for traditional printing and online. Students have access to a modern, state of the art, Macintosh computer lab where they learn the professional applications of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and Dreamweaver.
Professional Opportunities
Graphic and/or web designer for advertising agencies, the printing industry, marketing outlets, digital-content creators, corporations, and educational institutions.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of spot and process color in the development of print-ready designs.
- Design websites using industry software, media and user-based principles.
- Produce a comprehensive, themed, digital photographic presentation based on sound photography principles.
- Create graphics for various media (print, web, digital) using raster and vector-editing techniques.
- Create press and digital-ready layouts for publication using industry standard software and design principles.
