ACR 106 - Basic Electricity for HVAC/R

Description: This course includes a basic study of electricity, including Ohm’s Law and series and parallel circuits as they relate to heating, ventilating, air conditioning and/or refrigeration systems.

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F = 0 - 59

Student Learning Outcomes:

Test and check equipment for the proper voltage and amperage.
Test equipment electrical fused disconnects, determining if the correct voltage requirements are present.
Successfully rewire the components of a split air condition condenser.
Check and safely replace a blown fuse.
