AUT 130 - Automotive Electricity-Industry Certification Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 3 Credits: 4
Description: This course is a study of construction and function of automotive electrical components including alternating and direct current circuits and Ohm’s Law. Students who successfully complete this course may be eligible for specific industry certifications (Ford Service Technician Specialty Training (STST) certification).

- Explain the basic principles of automotive electrical systems.
- Construct basic automotive circuits.
- Use automotive electrical measuring devices.
- Test the operation of the components used in automotive electrical systems.
- Show the ability to use service literature to assist in testing and diagnosis.
- Distinguish between the principles and uses of Alternating Current and Direct Current.
- Correlate the relationship between Ohm’s Law and actual automotive circuit measurement.
- Complete Ford Motor Company training curriculum.
