EEM 118 - AC/DC Circuits II Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 6 Credits: 4
Description: This course is a continuation of the study of direct and alternating current theory to include circuit analysis using mathematics and verified with electrical measurements.
Prerequisite(s): Take EEM 117 . Course Topics:
- Alternating Current Theory
- Investigating Capacitors, Inductors and Resistors in circuits
- Designing circuits using Multisim oftwware
- Building and Testing circuits in lab

- CAMIT Basic Toolkit which is normally purchased for EEM 117 .
Grading System: A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F = 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Distinguish between direct and alternating current.
- Analyze various configurations of AC circuits containing resistance and inductance.
- Evaluate various configurations of AC circuits containing resistance and capacitance.
- Calculate various configurations of AC circuits containing resistance, inductance and capacitance.
- Differentiate between 3-phase and single-phase volts.
- Construct and measure various delta and wye circuits.
