EET 235 - Programmable Controllers Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Description: This course is a study of relay logic, ladder diagrams, theory of operation, and applications. Loading ladder diagrams, debugging, and trouble-shooting techniques are applied to programmable controllers.
Course Topics:
- Basic relay logic diagrams
- Basic PLC ladder logic diagrams.
- PLC hardware, operation, and theory of use.
- The design and programming of ladder logic programs.

Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.
A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F = 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Design, troubleshoot and test electronic and industrial circuits.
- Use electronic and industrial schematics in finding solutions to given case studies, scenarios or word problems.
- Use programming software to code solutions for engineering technology problems.
- Choose the appropriate solution to engineering technology problems based on given criteria.
