Description: This course will focus on the immune/lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Emphasis is placed on the effects of clinical massage modalities on these body systems.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Demonstrate professional responsibility and adherence to ethical principles.
Speak publicly, listen actively, and respond effectively.
Identify common evidence-based indications and contraindications for massage and discuss the benefits of massage with clients.
Demonstrate active listening and critical thinking skills in interviewing and determining an appropriate treatment plan for a client.
Provide a professional and effective relaxation massage using classic (Swedish) techniques, demonstrate the appropriate application of deep tissue massage.
