MTH 131 - Clinical Applications of Massage II

Description: Students will perform massage therapy in a clinical setting using advanced techniques and speciality modalities. Students will be closely supervised and evaluated by the instructor.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Demonstrate professional responsibility and adherence to ethical principles.
Speak publicly, listen actively, and respond effectively.
Identify common evidence-based indications and contradictions for massage and discuss benefits of massage with clients.
Demonstrate active listening and critical thinking skills in interviewing and determining an appropriate treatment plan for a client.
Provide a professional and effective relaxation massage using classic (Swedish) techniques, demonstrate the appropriate application of deep tissue massage.
