DHM 274 - Emerging Technologies

Description: This course is the study of the evolving technologies surrounding the advancements in control systems, emissions, fluid power, and electrification. Additionally alternative fuel technologies and ADAS systems will be discussed.
Prerequisite(s): Take DHM 159 and DHM 173 .

- Compressed natural gas fuel systems
- Propane fuel systems
- Fuel cell technology
- Driver assist systems
- Autonomous vehicles

An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.
A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69

- Compare and contrast the use of conventional fuel systems and alternative fuel systems in modern trucks and equipment.
- Examine the emission technology and regulations for modern internal combustion engine fuels.
- Examine the development of evolving technologies in vehicle and equipment systems.
