ACC 111 - Accounting Concepts


Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3

Description: This course is a study of the principles of the basic accounting functions–collecting, recording, analyzing, and reporting information.

Prerequisite(s): Take ENG 032 MAT 100  and RDG 100  with a minimum grade of C.

  • Adjusting Entries

  • Special Journals
  • Schedule of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Payroll
  • Petty cash and Bank Reconciliation
  • Internal Control over cash

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
F =   0 - 59

  2. Construct Financial Statements.
  3. Apply basic accounting internal control principles over cash.
  4. Apply adjusting procedures and closing procedures.
  5. Demonstrate the accounting procedures for special journals.
