                  BIO 100 - Introductory Biology   Lecture Hours: 3  Lab Hours: 3      Credits: 4 
  Description: This is a course in general biology designed to introduce principles of biology. Non-degree credit
  Prerequisite(s): Take MAT 100  and RDG 100  with a minimum grade of C. Course Topics:  
	- The essential parts: atoms, molecules and cells
 
	- The fundamental building blocks
 
	- The biological molecules
 
	- The utilization of energy and its transformations
 
	- Genetics and cellular division
 
	- The structure and function of the integumentary system
 
	- The structure and function of the skeletal system
 
	- The structure and function of the muscular system
 
	- The structure and function of the digestive system
 
	- The structure and function of the urinary and reproductive system
 
	- The structure and function of the of the respiratory system

  Grading System:  An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.
