Prerequisite(s): Take MAT 100 and RDG 100 with a minimum grade of C. Course Topics:
- The essential parts: atoms, molecules and cells
- The fundamental building blocks
- The biological molecules
- The utilization of energy and its transformations
- Genetics and cellular division
- The structure and function of the integumentary system
- The structure and function of the skeletal system
- The structure and function of the muscular system
- The structure and function of the digestive system
- The structure and function of the urinary and reproductive system
- The structure and function of the of the respiratory system

- Safety glasses (OSHA approved)
- Calculator
- Vocabulary Folder
- Lab coat (optional).
Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.
A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69
