ECO 211 - Microeconomics Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Description: This course includes the study of the behavior of households and firms, including supply and demand, elasticity, price/input in different market structures, pricing of resources, regulations, and comparative advantage and trade.
Prerequisite(s): Take ENG 032 , MAT 100 and RDG 100 with a minimum grade of C. Course Topics:

- Thinking on the Margin
- Comparative Advantage
- Supply and Demand
- Price elasticity
- Resource Allocation Systems
- Market Intervention
- Production and Cost
- Pricing/Output Decisions by Market Structure
Textbooks: Textbook information can be found on the Book Inn website Required Materials:
- Computer with Internet access
- Word processing software (must be able to save in Word format)
- Anti-virus software.
- Online component access code required for online sections only.
Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

C = 70 - 79
D = 60 - 69

- Calculate price elasticity, income elasticity, and cross elasticity.
- Contrast various systems of resource allocation.
