IST 202 - Cisco Router Configuration Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Description: This course is a study of LANs, WANs, OSI models, Ethernet, token ring, fiber distributed data interface TCP/IP addressing protocol, dynamic routing, routing, and the network administrator’s role and function.
Prerequisite(s): Take IST 201 with a minimum grade of C. Course Topics:
- Static Routing
- Dynamic Routing
- RIPv2
- OSPF
- Access Control Lists
- IOS File Management

- Configure and verify static routing and default routing.
- Configure VLANs and Inter-VLAN routing applying security best practices.
- Configure reduncancy on a switched network using STP and EtherChannel.
- Configure WLANs using a WLC and L2 security best practices.
- Configure IPv4 and IPv6 static routing on routers.
