AOT 114 - Medical Office Insurance Lecture Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Description: This course emphasizes development of proficiency in articulating medial terminology and composing medical documents using software tools.
Prerequisite(s): Take AHS 102 and AOT 141 with a minimum grade of C. Course Topics:
- Health Insurance
- Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Tricare
- HCFA 1500 Form
- Insurance processing terms
- Insurance appeal letters
- Processing insurance claims
- Insurance claim denials
- Reimbursement methodologies
