MTT 120 - Machine Tool Print Reading

Description: This course is designed to develop the basic skills and terminology required for visualization and interpretation of common prints used in the machine tool trades. 

Corequisite(s): Take MTT 111

Grading System:
An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

A =  90 - 100
B =   80 - 89
C =   70 - 79
D =   60 - 69
F =     0 - 59


Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Identify and explain the use of various lines on industrial blueprints.
  2. Interpret one-, two-, and three-view orthographic drawings drawn in third angle projection.
  3. Interpret and explain various dimensions, tolerances, screw threads, and notes used on industrial drawings.
  4. Solve problems by interpretation and making calculations on industrial blueprints.
  5. Interpret various types of sectional views utilized on industrial blueprints.
