DHM 121 - Introduction to Diagnostic Testing Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 0 CWE Hours: 0 Credits: 2
Description: This course is an introduction to basic theory and practical application of diagnostic testing equipment in trouble-shooting procedures. Content includes the study of diagnostic software and generic diagnostic readers for all major engine manufacturers.
Prerequisite(s): Take DHM 159 or CWE 113 and DHM 173 Course Topics:
- Scan tool operation
- Diagnostic processes

F = 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate proper use of a scan tool to retrieve diagnostic codes.
- Demonstrate proper use of a scan tool to perform bilateral controls.
- Interpret and explain hydraulic and/or pneumatic schematics.
- Perform the symptom, to system, to component, to cause diagnostic process.
- Demonstrate operation of a various test equipment such as pressure gauges and oscilloscopes.
