MEC 103 - Hydraulics and Pneumatics Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 3 Credits: 3
Description: This course covers the introduction to fluid power systems and the principles of how hydraulics and pneumatics are utilized in manufacturing. In addition, the study of fluid power symbols and schematics are related to the actual working component installations.
Prerequisite(s): MEC 102 , MEC 110 , and MEC 130 . Course Topics:
- Troubleshooting hydraulic systems
- Maintaining hydraulic systems
- Applications of fluid power various valves
- Safety

F = 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon competition of the course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate safety practices in lab area.
- Identify different components in a fluid power system.
- Assemble various working fluid power circuits from schematics.
- Demonstrate understanding and the ability use a schematic diagram for a fluid power system.
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and correct problems in a fluid power system.
