MEC 153 - Mechanical Drive Systems Lecture Hours: 2 Credits: 2
Description: This course covers mechanical transmission devices, including procedures for installation, removal, and maintenance.
Prerequisite(s): MEC 102 , MEC 110 , and MEC 130 . Course Topics:

Grading System: An overall grade of C or higher is required for transferability.

F = 0 - 59 Student Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the correct procedure in assembling and maintaining various power transmission drives.
- Demonstrate the proper application and installation of bearings.
- Demonstrate the proper application and installation of mechanical seals, gaskets and packing.
- Demonstrate the proper uses of lubricants.
- Demonstrate the correct procedure for aligning and maintaining V-belt and chain drives.
